Terms of Service

The rules for using FontCP and the font copy and paste tools on it.

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Effective date: 2026-10-18

Overview

These terms of service govern your use of FontCP and the font copy and paste tools on it. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We have tried to write them in plain language. Where a term matters, we say what it means in practice instead of relying on legal shorthand.

The service

FontCP is a free tool that converts ordinary text into styled Unicode characters you can copy and paste into other apps. The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that every character will render correctly on every device or platform, and we do not guarantee any specific uptime.

No account is required, and nothing is charged. The tools work without signing up.

The site may be supported by advertising and may display third-party ads alongside the tools. Those ads, if any, are served by third parties and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not by these terms.

We may add, change, or remove styles, pages, or features at any time. Because the tools run in your browser, changes to the site do not affect text you have already copied.

Who may use the service

You must be at least 13 years old to use FontCP. If you are old enough to use the site but below the age of digital consent where you live, use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for making sure your use of the site complies with the laws that apply to you.

Your use of the service

You agree to use FontCP only for lawful purposes. You may not use the tool to impersonate someone else, to create deceptive content, or to violate another person's rights.

You may not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or use it to attack, scrape at a rate that degrades the service for others, or otherwise interfere with its normal operation.

Content you type

You retain all rights to the text you type into FontCP, and we claim no licence over it. The conversion happens in your browser, so we never receive your input and could not store it even if we wanted to.

The styled text the tool produces belongs to you as well. Use it wherever you like — a profile, a caption, a game handle, a print project — subject to the rules of whatever platform you paste it into.

Intellectual property

The site itself — its name, design, code, written content, and the collection of styles as presented here — belongs to FontCP. You may not copy the site wholesale, resell it, or present it as your own.

This does not restrict the output. The Unicode characters the tool produces are not owned by anyone, and the styled text you generate is yours to use freely.

Disclaimers

FontCP is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any particular style will display correctly on any particular platform. Some platforms strip, replace, or refuse characters they do not support; that behaviour is outside our control.

Nothing on the site is professional advice. The style notes here describe how these characters tend to behave in common apps, based on our own testing, and are offered as general information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FontCP and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the site.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use it — which, since the tools are free, is zero — or (b) the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using FontCP at any time; there is no account to close. We may suspend or discontinue the site, or restrict access to it, at any time and without notice — for example, if we see automated abuse or have a legal reason to act.

If the site is discontinued, the sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary, and the rest of the terms will stay in force.

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site, and replace anything said elsewhere about it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. If a change is significant — for example, if it affects how disputes are handled — we will update this page before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
