Privacy Policy
How FontCP handles your data when you use the font copy and paste tools.
Last updated: 2026-10-18
Effective date: 2026-10-18
Overview
FontCP is a free font copy and paste tool. This privacy policy explains what data FontCP collects, how the site uses it, and the choices you have. The short version: the text you type is converted in your browser and never sent to our servers.
We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email address, and we do not sell any data to third parties. Everything on this page describes what actually happens when you open the site and start typing.
What data we collect
FontCP does not collect the text you type into the input box. The style engine that converts your text runs inside your browser tab, and the clipboard write also happens locally. The input you type never leaves your device.
We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information in order to use the tools. There is no account to create and no login.
If you contact us by email, we receive what you choose to send, including your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply to you.
How text conversion works
Every style on FontCP is a set of Unicode characters, not a font file. When you type into the input box, your browser converts the text locally using JavaScript already loaded with the page. No conversion request is sent to a server, and the text is not stored, logged, or transmitted.
Because the result is a normal string of text, it works wherever text can be pasted. It also means the visual result depends on the platform you paste it into — some platforms replace characters they do not support. That is a display limitation of those platforms, not a collection of your data by FontCP.
Server logs and analytics
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes requests for this site and may keep standard server logs that include the IP address, the requested URL, the referrer, and the user agent of each request. These logs are used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it running. They are retained according to Cloudflare's own retention practices.
FontCP does not currently run any analytics script of its own. The only request-level data connected to this site is the standard server logging performed by our hosting provider.
Third-party services
The only third-party service involved in delivering FontCP is our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which serves the site and processes requests as described above.
The fonts themselves are Unicode characters that ship with every mainstream operating system. FontCP does not load external font files, and no third-party font service sees your traffic.
Your rights
Because FontCP does not collect the text you type and does not require an account, there is no stored personal data to export, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time by writing to hello@fontcp.com.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. These include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing.
The data controller for this site is the individual or entity that operates fontcp.com.
In practice, FontCP holds almost no personal data: the text you type never reaches us. The only personal data we might hold is an email you send us. You can exercise any of these rights by writing to hello@fontcp.com, and we will respond within the period required by law.
Your rights under CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. FontCP does not sell personal information, and we do not share the text you type with anyone.
To make a request, write to hello@fontcp.com.
Children's privacy
FontCP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the tools work without an account and without collecting input text, there is nothing for a child to submit. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. If a change is significant — for example, if we add advertising or a new third-party service — we will update the relevant section here before the change takes effect.
